Manufacturing activity increased in Texas in May, Fed says

Texas’ factory activity expanded in May, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey. The Lone Star State produces more than 9 percent of total manufactured goods in the United States, second only to California in factory output. The production index rose from -0.5 to 11.2, indicating an uptick in output for the month.
