The Texas Pain Relief Group (TPRG) and Physicians Partners of America (PPOA) announce the opening of clinics in Plano and Hurst, with additional locations soon to be announced.
Rodolfo Gari MD, Medical Director and owner of TPRG, and David Wood, CEO of PPOA, made the announcement, while explaining the vision of the fast growing business, “Chronic pain, defined as persistent pain lasting more than six months, is experienced by one in three Americans. It is virtually an epidemic. Our company is dedicated to providing compassionate, ethical care in a high quality service environment, using the most advanced techniques and training. Unlike many stand-alone clinics, our organization has technically skilled professionals, including those at corporate headquarters in Tampa, who can provide the resources many smaller clinics cannot. For example, we provide local physicians with consultation in the most difficult cases, as well as workers comp case managers to assist in the rehabilitation and back to work of injured workers. We also take care of patients that others might shy away from, such as patients injured from an accident that might be involved in a legal case.”
All physicians at the Texas Pain Relief Group are not only carefully screened for accredited medical certifications, but have also received rigorous and prestigious post-medical school training in the treatment of pain.
Dr. Gari, with over 25 years of medical experience in pain management, commented, “Often, we see patients whose lives have been destroyed through an injury or disease not of their making, only to be further victimized by inadequate treatment. Many treatments needlessly lead to debilitation and even drug addiction. A more assertive treatment, such as implantable pain devices, complex nerve blocks or working closely with physical therapists, does not lead to tragedy. Patients who come to our company expect the best, and we give them the best.”
Some of the pain conditions treated include low back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, herniated discs, neuropathic pains, cancer pain, causalgia, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, shingles, diabetic neuropathy, chronic pancreatitis, multiple sclerosis, sympathetically mediated pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, radiculopathy, and phantom limb pain.
Dr. Gari continued, “So often we encounter patients who just want the pain to stop. Unless you have personally experienced throbbing and shooting pain, no words can possibly express these patients’ desperation. We are compassionate to and empathetic of our patients, unlike some physicians who give up and shrug. I emphasize to my doctors to never accept defeat. Pain can be managed with the right care, using the proper techniques.”
Texas Pain Relief Group welcomes referrals from doctors with difficult cases. The offices accept most major health plans, including Aetna, BCBS, CIGNA, and United Healthcare. Also accepted are workers compensation and auto insurance plans.
