Rodriguez of the firm was selected by the Legal Services Corporation’s (LSC) Board of Directors and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation (TAJF) for an award that recognizes his commitment to pro bono legal services in Texas. Mr. Rodriguez was nominated by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc.
The LSC Board is poised to meet in Austin on January 23 through the 25th. The Board and TAJF will hold a Pro Bono Awards Reception where they will recognize the six award recipients, including Mr. Rodriguez. The awards reception will be held in conjunction with the TAJF 30th Anniversary Kick-Off on the evening of Thursday, January 23 at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library.
“I am humbled and very honored to receive this award,” said Mr. Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez’s practice is marked by dedication and compassion for his clients. From 2010-2011, he served as a Pro Bono Committee Member for the State Bar of Texas, Bankruptcy Section and currently serves as the section’s Vice President. Mr. Rodriguez is also Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS), which means he is among only ten percent of all practicing attorneys in Texas that has earned the right to be called a “specialist” or “expert” in their respective field of practice.
