John Daly raises money for charity in between two stops on the PGA Tour; the HP Byron Nelson Championship and Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

Luber Brothers Inc., the Official Grounds Equipment Supplier for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Houston Texans and Washington Redskins, will host its 4th Annual John Daly Texas Shootout on Tuesday, May 21st at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).
“I am very grateful for the support of Luber Brothers and our sponsors who have helped make this event possible. The cause is a very worthy one because every child needs a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun,” said Daly. “Proceeds from this event will in part, help us fund life-enhancing programs and character development experiences for the youth of America.”
The sold out tournament will kick off at Cowboys Golf Club, the world's first NFL-themed golf course, with registration at 9:00am and a shotgun start at 10:00am. Daly will help raise funds for BGCA by “Donating his Drive” to each team as they reach the twelfth tee box.
Daly will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolis for a few weeks, making two stops on the PGA Tour; the HP Byron Nelson Championship and Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
Other featured events throughout the tournament include a Silent Auction, Tee Box Trick Shot Show, Hole-In-One, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Tournament sponsors including Patron Tequila, Nue Vodka, Hooters, Caddie Club, Loudmouth Golf and the Spine Team Texas will also be featured throughout the golf course.
Following the tournament, an awards and recognition dinner will be held with local acoustic duo, Whiskey Pants, offering entertainment to the teams.
