Representatives of Consilium Staffing, your partner in locum tenens, were among the attendees at the recent annual conference and expo of the Texas Hospital Association on February 13th and 14th, 2014. The THA conference took place in the beautiful Texas hill country at the JW Marriot San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio. More than 400 hospital decision makers across the state of Texas attended the event.
This year’s conference featured speakers who engaged attendees with a variety of topics, ranging from strategies for health care reform to the future of hospital financing. Consilium represented the locum tenens industry in the sponsor and exhibit area of the convention.
“To be part of the THA Convention was very exciting for Consilium. Being based in Texas, we take pride in serving the needs of our hospital clients in the state. It was great to be able to meet and visit with so many impactful leaders in Texas healthcare,” said Kyle Etter, Vice President and Partner at Consilium.
In 1930, the Texas Hospital Association was launched by a handful of hospital administrators who recognized the value of working together to provide superior health care. Since then, the health care industry has changed dramatically – and so has THA. Today, THA is one of the largest, most respected health care associations in the country, and the only association that represents the entire Texas hospital industry.
Consilium Staffing is a locum tenens staffing firm based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The term, "locum tenens" is a Latin phrase meaning to "hold the place of." Consilium Staffing assists hospitals, primary care offices, urgent care centers, correctional institutions, and other healthcare facilities, when those facilities are under-staffed by partnering with physicians, nurse practitioners, and/or physician assistants who are able to provide coverage on a temporary or contract basis.
