Rainsville, AL (PRWEB) April 11, 2014

WordSouth is pleased to announce that Peoples Telephone Cooperative of Quitman, Tex., has become the latest participate in its Regional Telco Magazine. Peoples joins a dozen other rural telecommunications companies in the collaborative publishing project.

The consumer magazine is produced by WordSouth, an Alabama-based content marketing and custom publishing company serving the rural utilities industry. Written, designed and produced by WordSouth, the magazine is mailed to the customers and prospects of rural telecommunications companies participating in the project. It is also produced in various digital formats.

“Peoples is a solid addition to the Regional Telco Magazine,” says Stephen V. Smith, founder and president of WordSouth. “It’s a progressive cooperative with strong leadership that is making sure the people and businesses of East Texas can fully participate in the IP-centric, broadband-driven economy. We are excited to welcome them into the project, and look forward to helping them tell their story in ways that will educate, inform and engage their members and prospects.”

Peoples Telephone Cooperative is the 13th participant in the Regional Telco Magazine. The cooperative offers broadband, wireless, traditional telephone and alarm services to several East Texas counties. Building on its tradition of service that spans more than six decades, Peoples recently completed a progressive middle-mile fiber construction project that brings broadband connectivity to medical and educational facilities across a 13-county region.

“We are expanding our service offerings to meet market demands and a changing industry,” says Steven Steele, General Manager/CEO of Peoples. “The Regional Telco Magazine will help us connect with our members to educate them about our services and how we are making an impact in the communities of East Texas.”

Peoples represents the fifth state served by the Regional Telco Magazine. Also represented in the project are Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee.

“One of the main factors behind our decision to join the project was the fact that it’s a collaborative effort among several of our sister companies in the industry,” says Steele. “We share regional and industry content in half the magazine, and by combining our circulation we enjoy lower production costs than if we were publishing individual newsletters. Through the system WordSouth has developed, we can send a high-quality, engaging publication to our members and prospects, all on a cost-effective basis.”
