Self-published author Natalie Tanner, The Educational Tourist, has spent years traveling the world, exploring its secrets, and creating personal memories. Now she is thrilled to include her two children on these adventures. With 15 years teaching experience, Natalie has successfully bridged the gap between traveling with children and creating exciting and educational experiences.
Traditional travel guides include information for adults only - where to sleep, eat, and what to see. This guide on Rome, the first in a series, provides fascinating nuggets of information on Roman history, culture, mythology, geography, art, and more. It also provides parents and teachers a way to expand upon existing educational curriculum by adding the child’s personal perspective to this historic destination.
“I wanted to show from my unique perspective how to enjoy your dream trip while capturing your child’s attention,” says Ms. Tanner. This book not only ensures you will experience the cultural richness of one of Europe’s finest destinations, but also provides a step-by-step guide on how to engage the minds of your youngest companions - avoiding the dreaded ‘I’m bored!’.
Kristi Hynes, mother of 2 boys, exclaimed, “Wow! My kids are fascinated and I no longer have worries about taking them to Rome. The information and activities are such fun! This book will keep us all intrigued!”
