Hundreds of Whiskies and their Makers in Austin and Atlanta This Fall
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 10, 2014
Whiskies of the World Expo, the oldest and the most attended event of San Francisco, California, is bringing its whisky vigor to two thriving and whisky concentric metropolitan cities: Austin and Atlanta.
The Whiskies of the World Expo Austin will be coming to town for the third time, following by two outstanding events in a row, and will be held on September 27, 2014, at Westin at the Domain, from 5pm to 9pm. The chic and spacious ballroom will allow to expand from WoW 2013, and bring more whiskies, consumers and trade, for the evening of celebration of fine spirits.
Atlanta, a top metropolitan US market for North American and Scotch whiskies, will welcome, for the second time, Whiskies of the World Expo Atlanta, to be held on November 8, 2014, at Fox Theatre, from 5pm to 9pm. A historic movie palace, the largest and most ornate one remaining in the country, promises to become a popular venue for the prime whisky tasting event in Georgia.
The flagship event, the Whiskies of the World Expo in San Francisco, has grown over 15 years to become one of the largest consumer tasting events in America, and a much anticipated staple not only locally but nationwide. Every year, the Expo enjoys the attendance of 1500 participants from as many as 20 states.
The progressive Whiskies of the World Expo Austin and Atlanta will follow the success of its parent event, and host hundreds of the world's finest, rarest and most unique whiskies of different styles and origins: Scotch, Irish, bourbon, Tennessee, Canadian, Japanese, Indian, and others. A whisky enthusiast will have a valuable opportunity to sample a generous range of whiskies, from the most well-known brands to smaller independent bottlers, all under one roof. In addition to the diverse golden spirits, sought-after products of American Craft distilleries, premium rums, gins, and cognacs will be presented as well to demonstrate the growing popularity of the innovative, local distilled spirits, and craft distilling in general.
Alongside the knowledgeable ambassadors pouring their whiskies, the Expos will feature educational seminars conducted by master distillers, blenders, and brand ambassadors. These distinguished members of the whisky community will engage the guests in the process of appreciation and celebration of fine distilled spirits in a personal, first-hand setting, all while sampling the most distinct whisky expressions. The festivals will focus on education, while providing entertainment, and will be enlightening for whisky novices and experts alike. This is a once-a-year opportunity to discover just how complex and fascinating whiskies are with their distinct flavors and aromas, as well as with distillation and maturation processes. Besides the sumptuous tastings, the guests will enjoy specially crafted foods to pair with the whiskies. For the total sensory experience, cigars will be available to savor in combination with one’s favorite whisky on the spacious patio.
“Whisky tasting events are extremely popular, and we are proud to produce world-class events,” says Douglas Smith, the Event Director. “WoW Austin and Atlanta are already long-anticipated annual events with a keen local following.”
“High West loves to participate in Whiskies of the World, as it is a well-organized event that is great for whisky aficionados. For those who are just getting into the amazing world of whisky, you can't miss this event,” says the proprietor of High West Distillery, David Perkins, whose brands present at the event year after year.
