Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 17, 2014

Gensler, a leading global architecture and design firm, announced today that Jonathan Kelley, AIA; Jerry Fawcett, AIA; and Byron Chambers are joining the firm’s Dallas office. With a combined 75+ years of experience, these industry powerhouses are recognized as leaders in sports design and will bolster Gensler’s ability to deliver world class sports and recreation projects both regionally and globally. Kelley, Fawcett and Chambers all join Gensler from HKS Sports in Dallas, bringing backgrounds in design, project management and business development for an array of prestigious projects including NFL stadiums, major league ballparks, minor league facilities, collegiate venues and international arenas. “We are thrilled to have these three superstars on our team,” said Gensler Regional Managing Principal Judy Pesek. “They will enrich our design talent here in Dallas and widen the sports practice nationally and globally.” “Jonathan, Jerry and Byron represent a sports design dream team,” added Gensler Regional Managing Principal David Calkins. “With their leadership, we plan to expand into additional professional, collegiate and high school facilities throughout Texas and across the globe.” “We have significantly broadened our bench and are more prepared than ever to serve our growing client roster,” said Ron Turner, principal and leader of Gensler’s Sports + Recreation practice. “Dallas will become a third hub for our practice joining our established hubs in Los Angeles and Washington, DC.” Gensler launched its Sports + Recreation practice in 2009. Currently, the firm has signature projects underway for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and Detroit Lions. Gensler’s Sports + Recreation practice also designed Arena Corinthians in Sao Paolo, home of the 2014 World Cup opening ceremonies. Other recent projects include Farmers Field, the proposed NFL stadium in Los Angeles; and the SWCC Field House in San Diego. Reported by PRWeb 2 hours ago.
