For-profit hospital/ER operator Adeptus Health scouting several states for expansion, including Ohio

Ohio is just one of many states where Texas-based Adeptus Health Inc. has started buying land and is in talks to add for-profit hospitals and networks of freestanding ERs, CEO Tom Hall told analysts recently. “It’s probably fair to say that we control some dirt in Ohio,” Hall said in a second-quarter conference call, which is temporarily archived on its investor website. “We control some dirt in many states actually that might surprise people.” Hall declined to provide further details… Reported by bizjournals 2 hours ago.
