Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Friday was indicted by a grand jury on charges of coercion and abuse of power related to his veto of funding for Texas' public integrity unit. The Texas Tribune reports that an inquiry started in the summer of 2013 after an ethics complaint was filed by Texans for Public Justice in the wake of a decision by Perry to veto state budget funding for the public integrity unit.
