Annual Affordable Housing Conference to Draw Development, Finance and Policy Experts
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 19, 2014
Tax credit professionals from across the country will gather at the Novogradac Affordable Housing Conference in San Francisco, Calif. on Oct. 9-10 to examine some of the most critical issues facing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) affordable housing programs. The two-day conference will feature panels of developers, investors, lenders, attorneys, accountants and other industry professionals who will discuss the latest industry news and issues, such as the state of the equity market, opportunities for re-syndicating LIHTC properties and the significance of the HUD Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program for LIHTC developments.
“The low-income housing tax credit is one of the most vital resources we have for the development and preservation of affordable housing. As we look down the long road of tax reform, it’s imperative that we come together as an industry to preserve the effectiveness of that resource,” said Jim Kroger, CPA, conference chairman and partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s San Francisco office. “I’d invite all industry colleagues to join us in San Francisco to discuss the ways we can use the low-income housing tax credit and other tools to maximize the availability of affordable housing in our communities.”
Attendees will have ample opportunity to interact with hundreds of affordable housing professionals, including active tax equity investors, project developers, lenders and many other industry professionals and participants during the numerous networking breaks; and a cocktail reception to be held on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Additionally, two pre-conference workshops, LIHTC 101: The Basics and LIHTC 201: Year 15 Overview, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8 to help attendees learn about LIHTC fundamentals. Pre-conference workshop registration is separate and optional. Additional fees apply.
