The Texas economy added 19,900 seasonally adjusted total nonfarm jobs during the month of July, and another 293,000 jobs since July 2012. The state’s unemployment rate held steady at 6.5 percent, compared to a national umeployment rate for July of 7.4 percent. “As of July, Texas has maintained a positive annual growth rate for 39 straight months,” says Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Chairman Andres Alcantar.
