According to the Super Lawyers website, to be selected as a Texas Super Lawyer, a multi-step process is used beginning with formal and informal nominations. Each candidate is then researched by a panel of attorneys based on their qualifications, certifications, and accomplishments.
After each nominee has been reviewed, they’re subjected to a “blue-ribbon review,” the Super Lawyers website explains. Based on areas of practice, nominees are then reviewed by their peers. Nominees are then grouped together by their practice area, size of their firm, and then ranked on a scale of 1-10.
Only 5 percent of lawyers in each state are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, according to the website.
