Texas-based Risk Management, Insurance and Financial Services Firm, Iscential, on the Fast Track to Major Growth

Iscential has seen another strong growth year in 2013, leading to hiring across the state of Texas.

Texas-based risk management, insurance and financial services firm, Iscential is enjoying another strong growth year that has lead to the hiring of additional sales and support staff to handle the increased activity. Since January, the 100-person firm has hired 18 team members and is looking to add more.

Jim Maranto, Director of Recruiting, states, “We are currently looking to add Managing Agents, Sales Agents and Associate Sales Agents in all major metro areas of Texas. Additionally, we are expanding our Client Services Team in Austin, Houston, and the Dallas-Ft. Worth areas. Due to our Sales Strategy to grow our Commercial Lines business, experienced Commercial Lines CSR’s and Account Managers are a top priority.”

Maranto continues, “While the economy is showing some signs of life, it is not creating the number of jobs we need to employ the recently graduated college seniors. For some reason, the insurance industry, and the tremendous growth opportunities it offers, gets overlooked."

The Griffith Foundation conducted a Millennial Generation Survey in February 2012. The survey explored attitudes about jobs and what appeals to members of the millennial generation. It also focused on attitudes about the Insurance Industry and insurance jobs specifically.

Peter L. Miller, CPCU writes in his article in the January 2013 edition of American Agent & Broker, “Only five percent of the millennials said they were familiar with the insurance industry and the types of careers it offers.” He adds, “Most people think insurance jobs are boring.”

The article goes on to say, as a career, insurance is “rewarding, challenging (and exciting), successful and flexible.”

Most people do not realize that a career in the insurance industry can provide unlimited income growth because of its compensation model. Renewals generate commissions year after year creating an “annuity” for the selling agent. Commissions can grow quickly to over six figures by Year 3 and over $250,000 in Year 5.

Maranto adds, “If you have a talent for sales and you are looking to start a successful career, you owe it to yourself to look at the insurance Industry. And more specifically, look at Iscential, a leader in the industry.”
